All flowering plants start from a seed. With the help of proper environment like soil, water , sunlight & Air, it germinates. This is called Germination.
It starts growing roots below and shoots emerge with the help of water, the roots soak up nutrients from the soil which gives shoots energy to reach out to the sun and set of two leaves appear which are called the true leaves or cotyledon . they are very important for the baby plant or seedlings as we call them because they reach out to the sun.
Seedlings have a few tiny roots so it can find water, set of true leaves which Stretch out for sunlight and thin weak stem that holds the plant till it grows stronger.
Roots start getting bigger & bigger and takes more water and stem grows thicker and leaves appear & then more and more leaves appear and they soak up carbon dioxide from the air , thus producing their own food for the plants & this process is called photosynthesis and help the plants grow into adult plants.
At the plants adult stage , flowers start to grow , moving pollens from the stamen to the stigma produces seeds which is called pollination.
That’s the time when it is mature , ready to create an offspring or another plant. Flowers attract Bees, butterflies and birds from miles away and pollinates the flowers that contains the seeds, becomes the fruiting body or simply flowers change into fruits which has it’s own seeds which will again go through the same cycle called the life cycle of a flowering plant.
